Leading The Way: Kamugu Vision Group Sets Standard For Financial Responsibility
On 7th February 2024, a team representing BIMAS Microfinance, led by Mrs. Cecilia Mark, the Operations Manager, made a notable appearance at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of one of Siakago Branch's finest groups. This exceptional group hails from Kamugu in Mbeere North Constituency, Embu County. Kamugu Vision SHG was established back in 2016. Over the years, it has witnessed substantial growth in its membership.
Remarkably, even amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic,
this group has consistently maintained a sterling record of timely loan repayments without any reported arrears. The group's attendance is 100%, absenteeism is virtually non-existent, with members ensuring representation even in their absence by sending their spouses indicating a strong sense of unity and commitment within the group.
As a gesture of appreciation, the management of BIMAS offered a mbuzi for the group to slaughter and enjoy during their AGM, symbolizing their solidarity and support for the group's resilience and responsible financial behavior. The AGM was graced by the presence of the Assistant Chief of the area, adding a touch of community leadership to the event.
This collaborative effort between BIMAS Microfinance and the dedicated members of Kamugu Vision Group serves as a proof to the mutual support and empowerment that characterize initiatives aimed at uplifting local communities across the country.
