BIMAS Kenya Limited is proud to have participated in a high-level Strategic Convening under the FinRISE Program, organized in partnership with the African Guarantee Fund and the Mastercard Foundation. The event, held in Lusaka, Zambia, on 26th March, 2026 brought together key players in the financial sector from across Africa, all committed to advancing inclusive finance.
Representing BIMAS at this important forum was our CEO, Dr. Patrick Gathondu, who had the honor of serving as a panelist during a fireside discussion on Scaling Inclusive Agrifinance. In his contribution, Dr. Gathondu shared valuable insights on how financial institutions can expand access to finance, particularly for women and youth-led agribusinesses—segments that remain critical to Africa’s economic transformation.
He was accompanied by our CFO, Elizabeth Karinga, as BIMAS actively engaged with peer institutions, exchanging ideas and best practices aimed at strengthening inclusive financial systems across the continent.
This engagement marks a significant step forward for BIMAS. Through partnerships such as this, we are better positioned to deepen our impact, enhance institutional capacity, and deliver innovative financial solutions tailored to the needs of underserved communities.
We are especially excited about what this means for the farmers and agri-food entrepreneurs we support—particularly women and youth. This collaboration is not just a milestone for BIMAS, but a meaningful boost for the communities at the heart of our mission.
As we continue on this journey, our commitment remains clear: to empower livelihoods, drive sustainable growth, and walk alongside our customers every step of the way.
Tukutane mashinani as we improve livelihoods.
